As the role of the treasury professional expands and evolves at an ever-increasing rate, Austin AFP is here to assist you in meeting your professional development needs. We are committed to providing superior educational and networking opportunities to our members. As business issues change and the interests of our members evolve, AAFP continues to offer quality programs on the important issues affecting the treasury profession. AAFP hosts 8 chapter meetings per year in addition to our Annual Business meeting and half day conference.

We had many excellent programs in 2010 presented by top-notch industry professionals. Among the topics presented were: Jason Schencker’s “2010 Look Ahead: Economic Outlook”; “International ACH– presented by Pam Cerny with SWACHA; Tim Quisenberry with SWACHA on Corporate Account Takeover; “Red Flag Warning! Whether to invest or not, that is the question” – Letha Sparks with TexasState Securities Board. Our first full day Fall conference included Audrey Flood – “Optimize Your Card Program”; Linda Patterson – “Can I Earn 0.50% and Feel Good About It?”, Sandy Sullivan – “Immunize Your Business Again Fraud”; Bill Andrules – The Bank Statement Equation: How Banks Can Increase Fees and Corporates Reduce Them”; Andrew Lowe – “Phynancial Wellness” and Blake Hastings – Economy at a Crossroads”

Remember, many of these programs are eligible for CTP/CCM CE.

In 2010, our membership represented a wide range of corporations, financial institutions, governmental and educational entities.  In order to remain a valuable resource for individuals in a treasury management career, we want to continue to increase our membership base in 2011, and encourage you to participate.

We appreciate your support and interest in the Austin Association for Financial Professionals and look forward to another prosperous year. For additional information, please tour our website or contact the VP of Membership at 2ndvicepresident@austinafp.org.
