Our Mission Statement
AAFP is a non-profit organization created for the purpose
of providing and maintaining a forum for designated
representatives of entities, organizations, or individuals for
the active and open exchange of ideas, concepts, and
techniques related to the rapidly changing field of cash and
treasury management.

As the role of the treasury professional expands and evolves at an ever-increasing rate, Austin AFP is here to assist you in meeting your professional development needs. We are committed to providing superior educational and networking opportunities to our members. As business issues change and the interests of our members evolve, AAFP continues to offer quality programs on the important issues affecting the treasury profession. AAFP hosts 8 chapter meetings per year in addition to our Annual Business meeting and half day conference.

We had many excellent programs in 2009 presented by top-notch industry professionals. Among the topics presented were: Richard Scott’s “What’s Green about a Black Swan?”; A Commercial Card Program – presented by Melissa Larson with JPMorgan; Pam Cerny with SWACHA on ACH Rules and International ACH; A Leasing Program – Steve Johnson with JPMorgan. Our Fall conference included Roderick Hewlett – Optimal Capital Structure; Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, Keith Phillips; and “Preserving Financial Capital through Human Capital: Wellness Anyone?” presented by Andrew Lowe and Mark O’Leary – Frost Insurance Services. We are also very proud of our May Program in a panel discussion format with members and quests for different industries and backgrounds.
Remember, many of these programs are eligible for CTP/CCM CE.

In 2009, our membership represented a wide range of corporations, financial institutions, governmental and educational entities.  We want to continue to increase our membership base in 2010, and encourage you to participate.

We appreciate your support and interest in the Austin Association for Financial Professionals and look forward to another prosperous year. For additional information, please tour our website or contact the VP Membership at 2ndvicepresident@austinafp.org.
