Program:  Safeguarding Customer Date: PCI - DSS 101
In general, PCI compliance is required by credit card companies to make online transactions secure and protect them against identity theft. However, ANY merchant that wants to process, store or transmit credit card data is required to be PCI compliant, according to the PCI Compliance Security Standard Council.  This session will explain the basics of PCI-DSS.

Speaker:  Darrin Trainer, Elavon
Darren has been with Elavon for the past 18 years but has been in the financial services and payments industry for over 35 years spending many years in marketing; product; client relationship management; and sales from local to the national arena.  Darren has spent the last 12 years concentrating in Government/Public Sector Merchant Acquiring and Commercial Card sales.  Darren started his career at Elavon/U.S. Bank as a Client Executive in November of 2004.  Prior to Elavon, Darren worked for Wells Fargo, Citigroup, Conseco and a couple of startup financial services companies.  Darren holds a BBA in Business Management from Dallas Baptist University.
